Patch 0.9.9

Patch 0.9.9 expands Stacks into a full heist progression system. Crews can now plan jobs from the Job Wall, choose their approach, assign cuts, complete dedicated setups and carry the score through to the final delivery. Vangelico has been rebuilt around this system, and the Gruppe Sechs Job joins it as Stacks' second major heist with completely different Quiet and Loud approaches.

Outside of heists, Hideouts, Grid Caches, X Vaults, drones, inventory, the phone and world interactions have all received major additions. Hideout progression now connects Purge Signals, drones and Grid Caches together through jammer parts, Grid Intercepts can lead into deeper hidden caches, X Vaults must be physically drilled open, and several new activities and hidden interactions give players more reasons to explore the city. Dive into the full changelog below.

✦ NEW
  • Stacks Heist Planning: Stacks now operates through a full planning board. Build a crew, choose the approach, assign each member's cut, complete the required setups and launch the finale once everything is ready.
  • Leadership Badge: Players who prove themselves by leading enough Stacks heists can earn the Leadership Badge, required to found an Organization.
  • Grid Intercepts: New encrypted Grid traffic can be recovered and followed to hidden Grid Caches around the city.
  • Deep & Black Grid Intercepts: Higher-level Intercepts lead to more dangerous and valuable caches, while Intercept Fragments can be assembled into deeper signals.
  • Signal Intercept Hacking: Players with the proper Proxy OS module can decrypt Intercepts themselves rather than paying Vex to do it.
  • X Vault Drilling: X Vaults are now sealed shipping containers that must be physically drilled open. The drill can jam during the breach and the vault only remains open for a limited time.
  • Grow Nodes: Grid Workbenches can now build Grow Nodes, connecting Hideout crafting directly into the growing system.
  • Hideout TVs: TVs inside Hideouts and several properties can now play synchronized videos for everyone in the room.
  • Hideout Fridges: Hideouts can now use functional fridges to store food and drinks, including chilled drinks with improved effects.
  • Passenger Entry: Press G near a vehicle to enter an available passenger seat without taking over the driver's seat.
  • Phone Games: The phone now includes playable games such as Grid Worm, Grid Stack, Cipher Crack and Grid Breaker, with saved scores and leaderboards.
  • Dumpster Hiding: At lower wanted levels, players can climb into dumpsters and attempt to hide from pursuing police.
  • Vending Machine Loot: Punching vending machines can occasionally knock free food or drinks, but making too much noise can attract attention.
✦ CHANGED
  • GrowSync: The growing app has been expanded with crop status, alerts, field layouts, routes and saved growing information.
  • NetScan: NetScan has a redesigned radar interface, can detect security cameras and now uses a short handshake interaction before revealing its results.
  • Inventory: The inventory has received a major redesign with cleaner categories, search, sorting, new-item markers and a more consistent Blackout visual style.
  • Item Information: Hovering an item now gives much more useful information including its purpose, rarity, value, effects, weapon stats and important warnings.
  • Wardrobe: Clothing stores and property wardrobes now allow full outfit editing with live previews instead of random outfit changes.
  • Wanted HUD: The old escape card has been removed. Escape progress now appears beside the wanted stars, including dead-zone guidance during a 6-star lockdown.
  • Objectives HUD: The objective tracker now uses one cleaner card showing active objectives, their descriptions, progress and distance.
  • Vehicle HUD: Speed, fuel, gear, engine condition and refueling costs now use a new compact HUD card.
  • Drones: Drone combat has been heavily reworked across targeting, movement, vehicle protection, wrecks, salvage, event cleanup and performance.
  • Drone Wrecks: Shot-down drones now remain on the ground longer so players have time to search and salvage them after a fight.
  • Purge Signals: Purge Signals are back to a faster format: clear the hostile camp and participating fighters receive their own reward crate, with OVERRIDE remaining the stronger tier.
  • Purge Jammers: Signal jammers no longer remove your entire HUD. Instead they disrupt the minimap with static and NO SIGNAL until destroyed or escaped.
  • Supply Drops: Supply crate loot has been refreshed with more attachments, tools, tyres, utility gear and rare robbery equipment.
  • Grow Node Trading: Best Buds owners can now put Grow Nodes up for sale through Bud.
  • Joint HUD: Smoking now uses a redesigned card showing the joint burning down, remaining puffs and active healing time.
  • Gruppe Sechs Cash Cases: Regular Gruppe Sechs cash cases now sell for $250,000 at the Black Market, separating them from the main Package objective in Stacks heist.
  • Low-Level Police: At 1 and 2 stars, police now rely more heavily on nightsticks and only draw firearms once the suspect actually fires a weapon.
  • Phone Layout: BlackOS apps have received several presentation improvements, including cleaner Stacks plans, Holdings integration and improved GrowSync and message presentation.
  • Mask Use: Masks can now be equipped while inside vehicles using a seated animation.
  • X Vault Package Carrying: Large heist packages are now physically carried and occupy one of your carry slots, making the carrier clearly visible to other players.
  • Dax Jobs: Dax's work has been cleaned up with improved objectives, clearer property unlock information and once-per-life access instead of cooldowns.
  • Beachcomber: The mission now includes an armed jet-ski ambush after recovering the documents.
  • Battle Pass: The Battle Pass page has been redesigned around individual tiers, reward previews and clearer information about what each reward actually gives.
  • Store Robberies: Robbing a 24/7 or Ammu-Nation now requires deliberately aiming at the clerk and holding the robbery input instead of triggering from a stray aim.
  • Elevators: Hideout elevator panels now have a cleaner layout showing floor state, ownership and locked floors more clearly.
  • Leaderboard: The Z leaderboard has been redesigned to match the newer Blackout inventory and HUD style.
  • Carried Loot: Players carrying one X Vault bag can now still eat and drink because the bag is carried on their back.
✦ FIXED
  • Drone Combat: Fixed drones becoming invisible, frozen or impossible to shoot, along with several targeting issues involving dead players, vehicles, safe zones and nearby players.
  • Drone Swarm Rewards: Fixed duplicated or lost reward crates, reconnect issues, safe-zone interactions and several event cleanup problems.
  • Burglary Drones: Drones spawned during apartment burglaries now leave properly once the wanted level is lost.
  • Gruppe Sechs: Fixed multiple issues involving truck movement, guards, quiet entry, wanted behavior, door cutting and consecutive runs.
  • Gruppe Sechs Cutting: Fixed an issue where cutting the truck doors could overwhelm the player's connection and disconnect them.
  • Vangelico: Players far away from the Jewelry Heist no longer receive its local alerts, gas messages or Shop PC marker.
  • Hideouts: Fixed several issues involving jammer placement, furniture interaction, TV detection, lift floors and placement controls.
  • Wanted System: Fixed several situations where stars or X Grid drones could incorrectly prevent players from escaping, especially around tunnels and 6-star lockdowns.
  • Gang Jobs: Gang jobs now properly fail if the player dies, disconnects or redeploys outside their gang.
  • Inventory Search: Clicking or typing into inventory search no longer causes the bag to close unexpectedly.
  • Dax Objectives: Fixed several Dax missions not appearing properly in the HUD objective tracker or remaining after the mission had ended.
  • Marlow Objectives: City Service missions from Marlow now correctly show their objectives on the HUD.
