Server Rules
Last updated 22 September 2026
The Blackout: X Protocol is a hardcore PvP/PvE survival server, not a roleplay server.
Players may attack, rob, ambush, betray, chase, and kill each other without warning or justification.
There are no roleplay kill rules, combat cooldowns, or permission requirements.
If another player has something you want, taking it is part of the game.
Anything permitted by these rules is still subject to applicable FiveM/Cfx.re and Rockstar platform requirements.
Play freely. Play fairly.
PvP
Kill on sight is allowed.
You do not need:
- A reason to attack someone.
- Permission before starting a fight.
- Previous interaction with the player.
- A roleplay reason.
- A cooldown before attacking them again.
Camping, ambushing, third-partying fights, stealing loot, betraying players, and attacking someone during a robbery or mission are legitimate gameplay.
If a specific event, location, or system explicitly states different rules, those restrictions apply while using it.
Losing a fight, vehicle, item, property, money, or loot is not by itself grounds for a staff report.
Cheating
Using software, modifications, hardware features, or external tools to gain an unfair gameplay advantage is prohibited.
This includes things such as:
- Aimbots or aim assistance.
- ESP, wallhacks, or player tracking.
- Mod menus and injectors.
- No-recoil or recoil-control scripts.
- Rapid-fire or automated combat macros.
- Automated gameplay.
- Tools that reveal information you would not normally have access to.
- Deliberately bypassing or interfering with anti-cheat systems.
Cheating results in a permanent ban.
Accounts or identifiers used to evade that ban may also be permanently banned.
Exploit Abuse
Finding a bug is not an offence.
Knowingly abusing one for an advantage is.
Do not repeatedly use bugs, broken mechanics, duplication methods, unintended payouts, inventory issues, mission exploits, or similar problems to gain money, items, progression, information, or another advantage.
Anything gained through an exploit may be removed.
Depending on the severity, exploit abuse may result in:
- Removal of affected items or money.
- Progression or account wipe.
- Temporary suspension.
- Permanent ban.
If you discover a bug, stop abusing it and report it privately through our Discord support system.
Reporting a vulnerability or bug in good faith will not be treated as exploit abuse.
Disconnect & System Abuse
Do not intentionally disconnect, crash your client, switch accounts, or manipulate reconnect mechanics to escape an outcome the game is applying to you.
Examples include deliberately disconnecting to avoid:
- Death or losing carried loot.
- An active robbery or encounter.
- A mission consequence.
- A server mechanic that is already processing your character.
Normal crashes, connection failures, or genuine technical problems are not violations.
Staff may review logs when determining whether a disconnect was intentional.
Accounts & Ban Evasion
Do not use another account, FiveM identity, Rockstar account, VPN, alternate connection, or another person's account to bypass a server restriction.
Do not knowingly help a permanently banned player evade their ban.
Account sharing that is used to bypass restrictions, transfer protected progress, exploit systems, or evade enforcement may also result in action against the accounts involved.
Real-Money Trading
Server money, items, vehicles, properties, accounts, services, or progression may not be privately bought, sold, or exchanged for:
- Real money.
- Cryptocurrency.
- Gift cards.
- External goods.
- Anything else with real-world monetary value.
Official purchases are only those offered through The Blackout's authorized store and payment systems.
Selling accounts or advertising unauthorized real-money transactions is prohibited.
Community Conduct
The game is hostile.
The community does not have to be.
Trash talk, rivalry, revenge, betrayal, and arguments about what happened in-game are expected.
The following are not allowed:
- Real-world threats.
- Targeted harassment that continues outside normal gameplay.
- Doxxing or sharing another person's private information.
- Attempts to discover or expose someone's real identity.
- Hate speech or discriminatory slurs directed at another person or group.
- Encouraging real-world harm.
- Impersonating staff.
- Maliciously distributing another player's private conversations or information.
What happens in Los Santos should stay in Los Santos.
Serious threats, doxxing, targeted hate, or severe harassment may result in an immediate permanent ban.
Staff & Support
Do not impersonate administrators, moderators, developers, or automated XGrid systems.
Do not intentionally submit fabricated evidence, edit evidence to mislead staff, or repeatedly abuse the report or ticket system.
When reporting another player, provide useful information where possible:
- Player or Cipher ID.
- Approximate time.
- Clip or screenshot.
- Description of what happened.
A report does not guarantee punishment. Staff may review server logs, available evidence, and surrounding circumstances before taking action.
Enforcement
Punishments depend on the violation, severity, history, and evidence available.
Possible actions include:
- Warning.
- Removal of illegitimate items, money, or progression.
- Character or account wipe.
- Temporary suspension.
- Permanent ban.
Cheating and deliberate ban evasion normally result in permanent removal.
Severe harassment, threats, or doxxing may also result in permanent removal without a previous warning.
Trying to exploit wording or technicalities in these rules does not make abusive behavior permitted.
Appeals
If you believe a punishment was issued incorrectly, open an appeal through our official Discord support system.
Provide any evidence you have.
Clips, screenshots, timestamps, and player IDs make an appeal easier to investigate.
Do not create alternate accounts to contact staff or evade a ban while an appeal is being reviewed.
Repeated, abusive, or deliberately dishonest appeals may be closed.
Purchases
Purchasing something from The Blackout does not provide immunity from these rules or special treatment from staff.
Being suspended or permanently banned for violating the rules does not automatically entitle you to a refund.
Payment and refund matters are governed by our Terms of Service and the applicable Tebex terms.
Play freely. Play fairly.
The Blackout gives players a large amount of freedom.
That freedom ends when you stop playing the game and start exploiting the systems or attacking the person behind the screen.
