FILE 00 ⌖ SPAWN PROTOCOL
Arrival
No name. No rules. No one coming to save you. The first choice the Grid puts in front of you is the only one that matters: who do you want to be?
San Andreas has gone dark. No law worth the word, no line you can't cross, no one to answer to. This is a lawless PVP city: every block is contested, every player is a threat or a mark, and the only thing standing between you and the street is the face you choose to wear.
The second you drop in, and any time after, you pick a Proxy Faction to run as. Not a skin. A whole identity, with its own way of taking the city:
- Signature ability: one power that's yours alone. It defines how your faction fights, moves, or survives.
- Unique skills: a kit built around that ability. No two factions play the same.
- Style loadout: weapons and tools matched to a way of playing, not a generic starter pack.
- Faction clothing: a look that tells the street exactly who just walked in.
Pick Your Face
One faction rushes. One hides. One deals. One hunts the people who do. There's no "right" pick, only the one that fits how you want to run the city. The roster is always open: switch runs whenever you want and wear a different identity for a different night.
How You Unlock Them
Some faces are open to everyone. Others you have to buy your way into, or dig out of the city yourself.
- Free factions: open from your very first spawn. Enough to fight, earn, and start carving out a name.
- Property-locked factions: take an apartment in the right block and the faction behind it opens up. Your address is your access.
FIRST MOVE: choose a Proxy Faction and drop in. The city won't wait, and nobody's coming to save you.

FILE 01 ⌖ GRID DEVICE
The GridLink
Not just a phone. Your line into the Grid, and the only one that answers back.
The GridLink is a rebuilt Grid phone made for life inside the Proxy. It handles the work nobody can hand you face-to-face: jobs, routes, comms, and the people you cannot afford to lose.
- Missions: pull jobs, track objectives, and take the next run.
- GPS and Radio: find the route, tune the right frequency, and keep moving.
- Cipher: stay linked to contacts, messages, and warnings from your people.
BlackOS
Restricted end-game apps open as your run goes deeper. Dealer Pulse tracks live dealer prices; Grow Monitor helps weed growers watch their operation.
RULE: if the GridLink goes quiet, assume the Grid is already closer than you think.

SYS 01 ⌖ IDENTITY
Proxy Identities
A Proxy is not a class, It is a life you borrow.
Every Proxy Run drops you into the city under a different identity, with its own starting point, faction and opportunities.
Some files are open immediately, Others only appear once you have earned the right reputation or access.
Choose the name, Take the run, See how far that life gets you.
Faction Standing
Every faction remembers you separately.
Build a name with the Ballas, and the Families may still treat you like nobody. Reputation, levels, and unlocks stay with the faction that gave them to you.
Who trusts you depends on who you worked for.
Unlock New Runs
Not every identity is available from the start.
Some Proxy files require faction levels. Others depend on properties, progress, or things hidden deeper in the city. The more paths you explore, the more identities begin to open.
One city, Dozens of lives, No single path through it.
REMEMBER: Faction progress does not transfer, What you earn with one crew stays with that crew.

SYS 02 ⌖ THE EVENT
The Sweep
Every few hours, the Grid changes its rules and starts cleaning the city.
The Sweep is an automated X Grid purge cycle. Surveillance shifts from observation to enforcement, exposed players become targets, and the streets turn hostile until the cycle is complete.
It usually activates every 4-5 hours, you can't stop it, You can only prepare for it, or use it.
The Cycle
PHASE 01
Calm
The city operates normally.
PHASE 02
Warning
The countdown starts.
PHASE 03
Sweep
The Grid turns hostile, stay out of sight.
PHASE 04
Aftermath
Heat resets, rare loot appears.
Use the Cycle
The Sweep was built to remove threats, that doesn't mean you can't benefit from it.
Wanted levels are disrupted, players disappear into the chaos, and loot becomes available that cannot be found during normal Grid operation.
Know when the Sweep is coming. Decide whether you hide from it or move with it.
"Optimization is for the benefit of all registered citizens. Non-compliant signatures will be processed." - X Grid broadcast

SYS 03 ⌖ CIPHER BANKING
XPay
Your Proxy can change, your Cipher ID cannot.
Every identity you wear is temporary, but XPay follows the person behind it. Cash stored there is tied to your Cipher ID, not the Proxy currently carrying your name.
Change the face, change the file, the balance stays yours.
Your Limit
The Grid does not give you unlimited room. If you want to hold more, you have to earn it or force the system to make space.
- Increase it through work: some jobs permanently raise your XPay capacity.
- Find someone who can bend it: the right people can push your account beyond its normal limits.
- Break the limit yourself: take the dangerous route and interfere with the Grid directly.
REMEMBER: Proxy names are temporary. Your Cipher ID is not. The Grid keeps the receipt.

SYS 04 ⌖ EXPOSURE
Heat & Wanted
Cross the line and the Grid starts watching. How you move decides how fast it locks on.
Stolen vehicles, reported bodies, and active crime scenes can all generate heat. The bigger the score, the stronger the response. But the Grid still needs to confirm you as the threat, and your behavior can make that easy or difficult.
Move Clean
- Reckless: speed, collisions, and property damage push your heat up fast.
- Low Profile: drive normally, stay controlled, and give surveillance less to flag.
- High-End Scores: valuable vehicles attract more attention once you're confirmed.
Hide Your Face
Masks interfere with the Grid's facial read. If surveillance can't clearly identify you, it takes longer to confirm the target and loses track faster.
Cover up before the job, not after.
REMEMBER: a stolen car draws attention, driving it like you stole it confirms everything.
Almost everything you bring out of the city can become cash. The question is who wants it, and where.
Loot, salvage, stolen goods, product, and other valuables can be moved through NPC buyers across the city. Prices change by location, and so does the risk.
Pick Your Market
DEAD
Dead Zones
Demand is almost nonexistent. Finding someone willing to buy can be harder than finding the loot itself.
EASY
Open Market
Buyers are common and deals are simple. Reliable money, average prices.
HIGH PAY
Premium Blocks
Fewer buyers, better offers. Worth the distance when you're carrying something valuable.
RISKY
Hot Blocks
Some of the strongest prices in the city, with considerably more danger around them.
Move Product
Drugs work differently.
Alongside regular dealers, gang members on the street may buy directly from you. Different crews want different product, and stepping onto their turf with a full stash always carries a risk.
Know who you're approaching before you start selling.
REMEMBER: Dealer Pulse tells you where the money is, it doesn't tell you whether you'll make it back.
Vex doesn't sell access, she makes you earn it.
Reach her through the GridLink or the QuickMenu (ALT) and you'll find favors waiting. Complete enough of them, and she starts trusting you with things most players never get to use.
Her Favors
- Find Them: track the target from a description and location. Find them. Finish it.
- Clear the Warehouse: enter the marked warehouse, clear the resistance, and leave the place empty.
- Hot Cargo: move an explosive vehicle without wrecking it. One bad impact can end the run instantly.
Earn Her Trust
Every completed favor pushes you further into Vex's network. With enough trust, she can reveal hidden locations, expose Black Market contacts, interfere with surveillance drones, clean reported vehicles, and unlock other tools buried deeper in the Grid.
The more useful you become, the more she lets you see.
VEX'S RULE: finish the favor, the reason can wait.
"I don't need loyalty. I need results." - Vex

CITY 01 ⌖ DISCOVERY
Explore
The city is not a checklist. Step outside, follow a lead, and see what is still out there.
San Andreas is full of people who can change your run, if you find them. Dealers working out of sight. Contacts with work that never reaches the public feed. Strangers who know a shortcut, a score, or a door that only opens for the right person.
Off the Path
Not every opportunity arrives through the GridLink. Some appear when you wander into the right block, hear the right rumor, or take a turn that is not marked on the map. Keep moving. Talk to people. Pay attention to what the city is not advertising.
There Is Always More
There is no final route through the city and no clean list of everything waiting in it. More dealers, more jobs, more contacts, more trouble, the world keeps opening as you live in it. Your run is what you choose to chase.
GO LOOK: the next job, contact, or secret will not always come looking for you.
Two powers rule the ruins, and they despise each other. Everyone else fights for the scraps.
The X
The corporation that owns San Andres: the Grid, the banks, the law. Side with them and the city stops hunting you: doors open, limits lift, protection most survivors never know. They don't cage you. They reward you for letting them watch.
The Ashen
What's left of the ones who fought the machine. The name is everywhere now and means almost nothing: believers, opportunists, and killers all wear it. Stand with them and you stand against the X. Just don't mistake them for family. They keep you alive because you're worth keeping alive.
The In-Between
Traders, scavenger packs, gangs, and wolves, each running their own corner of the dark. Build standing, pick enemies, and survive long enough to matter. In the end, the city makes you choose a side. It remembers what you pick.

CITY 02 ⌖ VOICES
People You'll Meet
A few of the faces behind the Shelter door. There are more, hidden deeper.
- Marlow: Handler, Ashen. Runs the Shelter. Weary, sharp, tired of burying people. He'll teach you to survive and quietly work out why the X wants you alive.
- Vex: Hacker, remote. A voice inside the Grid who clears stars, cleans plates, and moves cars for a price. Knows more than she says.
- Dax: Identity Handler. Deals in the names of the dead. Cold, careful, never quite on your side.
- Brix: Bartender. Runs the Slate, pours drinks, trades rumors. Hears everything first.
- Sable: Armory. Blunt ex-soldier who keeps the Shelter armed.
- Tully: Crafting bench. Gentle, nervous, good with his hands.
Someone has been watching you since before you arrived. You'll meet them when it's safe. It won't be soon.

CITY 03 ⌖ GRIDLINK MARKET
BlackOS
The GridLink's underground app market. Buy an app, install it to your linked phone, and keep the useful parts of the city close.
BlackOS is where street tools become phone tools. Each purchase is tied to your GridLink: no spare installs, no shared access.
